Audrey is an independent birth doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator since 2009, certified by Great Starts, HypnoBirthing® Institute, and AHA. Audrey currently teaches classes on pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, breastfeeding, CPR, sibling preparation, and other topics. She believes strongly in creating a calm, welcoming space and helping all families have access to information and support, regardless of income or citizen status, race, religion or culture, and gender identity or sexual orientation.
Audrey was raised in Colorado Springs and earned a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and a certificate in Scientific Illustration from the University of Washington, Seattle. She spent 15 years in the Pacific Northwest, working early in her career as an environmental restoration steward and educator, as well as a freelance illustrator. In 2006, Audrey’s first child was born. Becoming a parent was the inspiration to help other families transitioning into parenthood.
When Audrey is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends while hiking and four-wheeling in the mountains, drawing, crafting, learning other languages (ASL, Spanish, and German), or playing her fiddle.
